It’s Saturday, and the energy of Miami is pulsing through your body. There are all kinds of ways to party in this city, but you want to dance to some some fantastic music. There’s no shortage of dance clubs out there, but not all are created equal. Here are three of our favorites for shaking it with your friends and having a blast in the Magic City.
If you and your crew are looking for the quintessential Miami nightclub, dress your best and make your way to LIV, a swanky, über-cool spot at the elite Fontainebleau Hotel. Join the throngs on the massive dance floor, where the world’s most famous deejays and stars perform. After belting out lyrics and shaking your hips to the point of exhaustion, retire to the plush booths or the skybox, where bottle service among your friends is a must. Together, see how many celebrities (not to mention Miami Heat players) you can spot getting their groove on as you sip champagne and cocktails until the wee hours.
For an outing in the great outdoors, head to Nikki Beach, one of the coolest day-and-night clubs in Miami. Chill out under the sun at this open-air beach club right on the sands of South Beach. Join the skimpily clad revelers among the white, billowing curtains, daybeds, and tents and listen to live deejays and other acts. Dance with a drink in your hand to the tunes of a wandering saxophone player, or gaze in wonder at the costumed beauties and showgirls weaving in and out of the crowds on any given weekend. When you and your friends want to take the party indoors, Pearl, the upstairs lounge and club, awaits you.
Visit Hoy Como Ayer, a Little Havana icon, for a completely different experience. Listen to some of the best Latin acts in town in this intimate, dimly lit spot on Calle Ocho. Sip a mojito or margarita, grab a dance partner, and see what your hips can do. If you can, catch a Spam Allstars show and dance on the cramped dance floor all night long to their addictive blend of salsa, funk, hip-hop, and jazz.
There are plenty of options when you’re looking for where to dance in Miami, so throw your hands in the air and baila to your heart’s content.
