The Greek Theatre is the kind of place where you’ll try to talk up your experience after to friends who couldn’t attend, but they won’t really understand — sometimes you just have to be there. The intimate and detached setting, perfectly framing Griffith Park, will make you feel like you’re privileged to a private concert in the middle of the woods. Be warned that many shows at the Greek do not have warm-up acts, so your group better squash that habit of arriving fashionably late if you want to catch every one of your favorite band’s hits. If you and your friends want to grab dinner and drinks before the show, make reservations to dine at Rockwell Table & Stage. From there you can reserve a shuttle directly from the restaurant to the Greek and back, a great way to avoid the obstacle course that is concert parking. Sometimes you want to see a show, and sometimes you want to have an experience to remember — the Greek Theatre is the latter, and clearly one of the funnest ways to do concerts in Los Angeles.
