For shopping mavens in Vegas looking the best of the best in high-end brands and luxury items, there’s only one stop you need: Crystals at CityCenter. That’s because, with 50 luxury retail stores, The Shops at Crystals is the only shopping plaza in Las Vegas to feature only the world’s most prestigious retailers.
Before you even enter, you’re struck with the sense that this isn’t your typical shopping mall. First, there’s the building structure itself—it’s 500,000 square feet and uniquely shaped like a jagged, uncut diamond. Then there’s the blooming rose sculpture standing 26 feet, gracing the front of the entrance way. Like a supermodel on a runway catwalk, Crystals understands that first impressions are everything; it aims to stand out.
The interesting art and architecture continues after you step inside, with a flowerbed carpet made of real flowers, an interactive “tornado-in-a-bottle” water tube exhibit, and a live ice sculpture garden. The center even has its own treehouse, where you can grab a coffee, a cocktail or a three-tiered tower of seafood, if you’re hungry. The entire plaza is practically begging to have its photo taken, so keep your phone charged. Crystals is any selfie-addict’s heaven.
Many of the stores in Crystals feature designs and products that you literally cannot purchase anywhere else in the world. The Prada store—which is the largest in the US, by the way—is the only store in Las Vegas to sell runway pieces. Walking into its VIP fitting room, you feel as though you’ve just stepped into a celebrity’s closet, only even more glamorous. The sofas are lined with fox and chinchilla fur.
For another media-worthy fashionista moment, head over to Stella McCartney and pose for a selfie with the horse-shaped chandelier. it’s made from more than 7,000 white crystals and was imported from the English castle where McCartney herself put the final touches on the piece. It’s a photo-op that’s sure to rack up the likes on social media, and it may even inspire you to pick up those equestrian-inspired accessories you’ve been eyeing.
From there, you can move on to stores like Tom Ford, Louis Vuitton, or Tiffany & Co. You may be tempted to spend loads of cash at these shops—and no one would blame you if you did—but there are additional ways to earn bonuses that will have you toting even more bags back to your hotel room. You end your shopping spree at Jimmy Choo, since it may be time to switch shoes after wandering The Shops at Crystals all day. As Marilyn Monroe once said: “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” Or, at the very least, you give her the Las Vegas Strip.
