The Best Las Vegas Malls: Serious Retail Therapy

SHARE

Up and down the Las Vegas Strip and beyond there’s such an incredible array of retail brands, from mainstream to ultra-exclusive. Few cities in the world can rival this kind of shopping experience, and almost none can compete for the convenience of having everything in one place. Fashion, jewelry, timepieces, sportswear, gadgets, and gifts can all be found in impressive variety. If you’re a serious shopper, you’ve already heard about the best Las Vegas malls and resort shopping, but here are four spots that definitely need to be on your radar.

The Shoppes at Mandalay Place

The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, in between Mandalay Bay and the Luxor, is a good start for your shopping excursion. Fashion 101 or Nora Blue will have that sexy dress you need for the Vegas nightclub. Gentlemen are well taken care of at Elton’s Men’s Store and The Art of Shaving. You find an unforgettable gift among the stunning photography of the Peter Lik Gallery, and something more down to earth for the beer lover in your life at the Guinness Store. And when you work up an appetite with all of that shopping, Mandalay Place has an uncommonly good selection, from funky Rx Boiler Room’s gastro grub, to the authentic Ri Ra Irish Pub, Mexican import Hussong’s Cantina, and the legendary gourmet Burger Bar.

The Shops at Crystals

City Center’s The Shops at Crystals is a captivating architectural space housing fashion elites like Balenciaga, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Tom Ford, Paul Smith, and Valentino—they are all here, and more. This is the best of the best when it comes to high-end shopping. If you can’t find the perfect outfit or gift at the Crystals, then you won’t find it anywhere else. Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, and Harry Winston compete to satisfy your love of precious minerals. Feed your head in Louis, the by-appointment James Turrell art installation inside the largest Louis Vuitton in the country, or feed your face at Mastro’s Ocean Club, Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina, or Todd English P.U.B. Pretty soon you have too many bags to carry, which was the objective from the beginning!

Las Vegas Premium Outlets North

Las Vegas Premium Outlets North is worth a dedicated trip. Almost exactly in between the Strip and the new cool downtown Las Vegas, the Premium Outlets North have a sizable selection of men’s, women’s, and department stores. There are 175 stores altogether, so you’ll need to make a plan if you want to hit as many as possible. It’s probably best to divide and conquer as half your crew starts at Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th and the others venture to Neiman Marcus Last Call. You can’t miss Elie Tahari and Tory Burch, and your friends call from Burberry and John Varvatos to give you full reports. Outlet shopping is a marathon, not a sprint, so just make sure you pace yourselves.

Downtown Summerlin

A new off-Strip shopping destination has emerged in Downtown Summerlin, one of the Las Vegas malls that seems decidedly different from the others. Like the Premium Outlets, it’s outdoors, but it was designed to evoke an urban footprint, which adds an element to your exploration. DTS already offers retail ranging from Michael Kors and True Religion to lululemon athletica and Boston Proper—alongside an assembly of eateries from the locally revered Andiron Steak & Sea to MTO Café, and the decadently delightful Gelato Messina. And if you’re all shopped out, there’s no reason to head back to the Strip. You can rest up at the Red Rock Resort next-door, and get ready for round two!
