Vegas Bound? Local Juice Bars Maintain Your Healthy Lifestyle

SHARE

Are you a cold-pressed juice fiend heading to Las Vegas? Are you worried that without your favorite juice bars, the workout that got you ready for summer will be jeopardized in Buffet Land? Fear not. In the last year and a half, Las Vegas—long known for more sinful than saintly activities—went from “Juice? What?” to “Juice? Where?”. A bevy of juice bars are now available in Vegas, helping casual juicers and hardcore cleansers maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The Juice Standard

Every juice bar has something to offer, but no Las Vegas juicery has done more to promote its patrons’ healthy lifestyle than The Juice Standard (TJS). The Las Vegas Review-Journal named it the 2015 Best of Las Vegas winner in its category. Since opening its flagship store in 2014 (affectionately called The Hive), demand prompted a second location called The Rose in nearby Henderson, Nevada, just 14 months later. In early 2016, the swank resort The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will become the first Strip property to serve what set TJS above its competitors: signature, raw cold-pressed juices and nut milks, pressed fresh daily from 100 percent organic produce, 100 percent of the time.

At the heart of this company, founded by Las Vegas locals Jamie Stephenson and Marcella Williams, is a die-hard dedication to serving organic juice and nut milk made from recipes that keep folks coming back for more. TJS’s product is raw and unpasteurized to deliver you optimum health in a bottle—and it’s local.

Complimentary tastings are available every day, any time, from a welcoming staff. Look for the brand’s mascot, a bee, interspersed throughout the cute juice names and the company’s collateral. Be sure not to miss Bee WHealthy™, TJS’ 10-ingredient signature green juice that makes produce sing, Bee Happy, an addictively decadent cashew and Brazil nut-based nut milk with raw cacao, vanilla, and honey, and TJS’s brand new Chewing Menu featuring satisfyingly organic snickie-snacks like banana leathers with cashew-walnut butter and fabulously fermented house-made kimchi.

Grass Roots Juice Bar

When Grass Roots Juice Bar opened in the retro-hip neighborhood of Downtown Las Vegas, its owner and wellness expert Shane Stuart helped morph the city’s rep as an international party playground to a place that balances excess and inner health. With Stuart’s help, Grass Roots’s cold-pressed juice has helped Downtown residents (and in-the-know tourists visiting Container Park) learn how tasty it is to sip yourself to health. Where this place truly shines is in its grab-and-go raw foods menu featuring smoothies and creamy soups made from avocado and cashews and items infused with superfoods like matcha (ground green tea leaves). Don’t miss fan favorites Cashew Broccoli “Cheeze” Soup and Tortilla Soup. This place is your belly’s buffet antidote; Stuart is masterful with a VitaMix and uses his prowess to create some stellar produce-based ice creams, which are also available at the shop.

Want to keep drinking what you’re used to at home? Las Vegas sports juice bars from yonder, too. Cali-based Nékter is 15 minutes from the Strip in Downtown Summerlin, Pressed Juicery is at the Aria Resort and casino and has two more locations on the way, and tried-and-true Jamba Juices abound throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Think a green-juice-toting Las Vegan could become more ubiquitous than Strip walkers nursing a yardstick-size margarita? If you want to blend in like a local, grab one on your next visit and find out.
