Kelli Gratz has traveled the globe as a child, adolescent, and now twenty-something writer. Born and raised on Oahu, Kelli graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a bachelor's degree in English literature, with big dreams to work for internationally renowned magazines and to become an award-winning novelist. Part of that dream was realized when she landed a freelancing gig at Harper's Bazaar Singapore. During her time abroad, she worked under the direction of industry experts, assisting with fashion editorials, brand stories and creative buys. Before returning home, she took a six-month writing retreat in the deep jungles of Bali, where she nearly completed her first true work of dystopian fiction. Today, she continues to freelance for various travel and lifestyle publications, including FLUX Hawaii, Modern Luxury Hawaii, Hana Hou!, Room Service, Kikaha, Foundry, Lei, and Aloha Way Magazine, all the while perfecting her novel in her hometown of Honolulu. Kelli enjoys getting to know a city the way she would a companion—straight to the good stuff.
