Wildflower Cafe: Bouquets and Brunch

What could be better than enjoying a delicious brunch with your family while surrounded by fresh-cut flowers? Not having to cook that brunch, or do any of the cleaning up, an amenity that Wildflower Café offers in addition to a full florist service. The garish purple exterior commands a springtime feel no matter the weather, immediately creating a bit of cheer as your family finds its way to one of the rough-hewn wood tables inside. Under the Magritte-inspired lights housed in bowler caps and top hats, you’ll have a little time to plan your day as you discuss the brunch menu. Now, we’re sure mom’s French toast is amazing, but just give Wildflower’s buttery brioche version a try, for comparison purposes. Soft, flakey, and flavorful, they’re one of the most pleasant ways to begin a day. If one of your gang has missed out on the proper full English breakfast experience due to some vegetarian proclivities, they’re surely in for a treat here, as the chef uses tarragon mushrooms and sautéed potatoes in place of the traditional sausage, bacon, and black pudding. When the meal has been finished off with a garden-fresh bloody mary for mom and dad and fresh-squeezed juices for the little ones, check out the flower displays on the way out. With a bouquet of some of the season’s latest blooms to take home with you, everything will be coming up roses.
